Nilau relies almost exclusively on the pre-order principle in order to offer quality items that are made to last over time, far from fast fashion.
Each purchase is therefore a real long-term investment, for a product that will follow you for years.
1. What is a pre-order?
Pre-ordering is the act of buying a product before its manufacturing process by our craftsmen.
You are ordering something that does not yet exist and will never exist if it is not sold. A great action that stops any act of compulsiveness!
Pre-orders correspond to eco-responsible items sold at a fair price because there is no intermediary. It leads to a better way to consume and to reduce your ecological impact!
Pre-ordering allows you to take the time to buy in a better way
and produce only the desired number of items
to link supply to demand.
2. Plutôt forme ou utilité à prioriser ?
Pre-ordering means no stock waiting to be sold. Thus, Nilau does not overproduce and guards against any form of surplus following unsold products. The pre-ordered piece simply takes a little longer to arrive but you are guaranteed that it is a unique piece.
The pre-order principle also makes it possible to collect the founds for the product upstream which finances the production directly. Nilau makes it a point of honor to calibrate as accurately as possible in all areas, and that is part of it.
We therefore have no cash advance, no additional costs for storage, no unsold items. It reflects an absence of waste and therefore a positive effect for the environment. Nilau aims for the fairest from the design of the article until its reception at your place.
Pre-ordering adds a more personalised dimension since each order corresponds to an item
specially made for you and whose various stages of manufacture you can follow.
3. Tout le monde à le droit à son sac
At Nilau, we include the customer as much as possible so that they can benefit from a unique experience. If the first ideas are from the brand, it is your role to choose its final material during the co-creation of the capsule collections.
Next comes the buying process. For one month, you can pre-order the item of your choice available in limited edition.
Once this step is over, the production can finally begin. It takes place in a certified and local family workshop, where all the raw materials and the upcycled leather particularly arrive. The latter, coming from dormant stocks of French tanneries or luxury brands, are also traceable.
Finally, comes the most important moment : the delivery. It occurs between 2 and 3 weeks after the end of pre-orders. You will then receive your item in its eco-responsible packaging and optimized to, once again, limit waste as much as possible.
